I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to make a model look like it has terminator honors, both Vet Sgt Marines and scouts? I know you can use shoulder pads with Termie honors, but I was wondering if anyone used other items to represent it on their models. Thanks for any help you guys can give.
Personally, I just paste Purity Seals all over 'em. I mean, naturally there is a limit to what is a sane amount, but my normal Marines have none if I can help it. Plus, Purity Seals themselves are dirt cheap, should always take those..
I had some laurels made for my Sergeants a while back, that was a really cool look, if your into the whole Roman feel like the Emperor's Champion has. Just take miniscule pieces of Green Stuff and layer them over eachother in a half-circle. Then twist it around the head after it has dried for a little while. It's slick! If you like Rome..

In a lot of SM boxes, especially ones like the Commander and Command Squad, there are shoulder pads that have a skull superimposed over an iron cross. If I'm right, this denotes terminator honors .I believe it does because all the terminators have them.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
The small crosses you get in some boxes are terminator honours.
I paint those crosses when I need to and don't have any honour marks to spare.

I just paint them a little differently. All my vets have bone white helmets, so any vet sergent has a bone helmet. Apart from that, I also make sure that termy honors are represented by an iron cross somewhere on the mini, either by painting or by adding bits.
Marion: You're not the man I knew ten years ago.
Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
For the last time, there are
NO FEMALE SPACE MARINES!!!!!
If you create a custom chapter you can just decide on which signs show the rank of your mini. Makes it much easier.

Cool, thanks. I wasn't sure if the little crosses were representing termie honors. I also liked the idea of the custom chapter/make your own design for vets. Thanks again.
