Ive started painting my tau in the citys of death colour scheme (white armour, red cloth) but have no idea how to paint my kroot. I want them to look different but still have some sort of tie in with the Tau colours...not to keen on the 'eavy metal kroot style...
I wrote about something like that for the IG some days ago. Klick! (you have to scroll a bit)
That might not be exactly what you're looking for, but a hint. To match your Kroot to your Tau you could paint their cloth similar to the Tau's cloth or you paint some raggery on your Kroot, maybe the armour's colour?

hmm this is just an idea but you could paint your tau colour markings on your kroot to put them into regiments and have their rags still sloppy like they would have but what ever your army symbol is paint it onto your kroot s shoulder or somthing
The way i would do it would be to paint their skin any colour you want and then give them red tattoos all over their bodies(but make sure the tattoos are in proportion to the models) and then paint any clothes they wear red as well.
Dnt judge my judgments plz
Its not my fault, blame some other guy
