Hi, I was wondering if anyone has a quick alternative way to cleaning the flash off of minis. It takes way to much time for me to clean the parts for assembly and I only have about a months time to get a 500pts fantasy army assembled/painted. I am really in need of a quicker way to get minis cleaned for assembly so if anyone has a quick way please post it here.
off hand i cant think of any other method of cleaning off flash.I guess you can just assemble the model fully and take off the visible flash.
I never played fantasy but it must not be to much bigger than an ork 500pt army could it?
INNOCENCE IS NOT IMMUNITY
nope, you really should remove the flash. I find the fastest way to be the edge of a very small xacto knife, others prefer a needle file.
I find it faster to clean and assemble in batches, so you are scraping 5 of the same part at the same time. I think this assembly line style of work speeds things along because after the first part, you know exactly where to look for the flash on the next 4.
Whatever else you do, I'd remove the flash, even if it means having to speed paint or skimping on the bases.

If speed is what you want above anything just skip cleaning and priming. It'll look awful but it gets the job done.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.

kk well a really quick way i find and gives you a good smoth surface so there is no flash is to get like a hobby file and just file it that way if you want it to look really good or you can use an exacto knife either works
hope that helps
