I was wondering what colors would work well on the BT robes, as well as the banner. Any help would be appreaciated.
there are heaps of ways to do robes.
First method: for the robes i would start out with dark flesh then move onto snakebite leather. add highlighs of desert yellow and bleached bone.
Second Method: snakebite leather then bubonic brown, highlighted with desert yellow.
Third method: keep it basecoat of black and highlight with greys.
fourth method: start with scorched brown, then go to desert yellow then bleached bone.
firth method: go with dark flesh then scorched brown then highlight with bubonic brown then desert yellow then bleached bone.
thats 5 ways. which way you do it is up to you. i find that each method works with certain clolors. like method 5 works well with blood red armor.
and the same goes for the banner.
there are heaps of ways to paint robes and banners but i am assuming you want a white/ creamy robe???
I have seen and done some robes in red.
Start with Red Gore, or scab Red and build up from there. It looks pretty cool. It looks nice with Templar cross done in black and outlined in Gold.
I used a very simple technique that I probarbly will change when I have time, but here we go.
1. basecoat chaos black
2. cover all black with snakebite leather.
3. highlight with a mix of 50/50 snakebite leather and bleached bone.
4. highlight with bleached bone.
As I said: Very simple but it looks pretty good. Not awsome but it works.
Things go better with Petter
