Most people are of the opinion that the 4th edition biovore stinks big time and I couldn't agree more, the base of the beast is good but there are things that just don't fit.
First the tail, the normal tail it has is uselles, it can't provide the biovore enough balance when the beast moves or sits down, it would likely just topple forward.
The front limbs themselves are wrong for 2 important reasons, first the don't provide stability given they are facing the wrong direction and more important the biovore can't move with those.
So without further ado I present my own improved biovore.
That looks a lot better Dreachon. It looks a hell of a lot better than the 4th ed. one.
i tested some biovores this weekend at conflict, they played well but the models are a little lacking, your really make that little bit of difference they need.
Cry Havoc and Let Slip the Dogs of WarShakespeare 'Julius Caesar'
Necrons 'Ancient' - 1000pts
World Eaters - 600pts
(including a Forge World dready booo yeah! :)
I really like it. Good job
Thanks guys, it was quite a simple conversion, getting the ideas right was a harder task.
Wow! A biovore that actually looks amazing! Great job!
It's a brilliant model, over 100x better than the current one. It might be simple, but it's effective!
Personally, I've never really liked any of the biovore models. I think the 4th ed one was a big improvement over the last one, but it looks like its falling apart. But this conversion is where the biovore needs to bee right now. Sweet.
I blame everything on Ronnie James Dio.
When you get one painted, you should post it so we can see how it looks. It's kind of hard to see and appreciate the details when its not painted.
<-- that room over there in my avatar is full of people who think you are funny...BURN...

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
Tis true, but it still is a big improvment. Goes to show that you don't need extensive over the top conversions to make a model look good.Originally Posted by aufde
