so i have bin real busy lately, and haven't really worked on anything wh40k wise in awhile, but i finally sat down and started working on my new SM chapter
i currently am working on my command squad, i've got my chapter master, Commander Varo'then, and my company champion done who i haven't named yet.
i also have two sm's done aswell, and after i finish my CS im going to start paintin a squad of terminators, and the rest of my army
here are some pics
unfortunatly im having difficulty getting some of the cool details that make this color scheem look really good in my pics, but im going to keep trying

They look nice from what i can see, but some closer in pics would be nice< i cant see the detail fomr that far away.
Great painting from what I can see, but I don't get one thing. I don't find where they randomly found their color scheme to be red when they live in a snow world as it seems. Could you maybe have some fluff eventually explaining this, thank you.
Also, are you going to base them with something that looks like snow, possibly dirt painted white, etc.?
im working on the fluff, but as i said before i dont have a lot of time lately so i haven't really worked on it much
but the white on the armor is just supposed to be white on the armor, not snow
but the fluff will have them from a snow planet of course just cause of the frozen part
and i relized that after i took the pics, but the battery on my camera went dead when i was taking pics, so im going to try and take new pics tommorow
and i do plan on basing them
Space Marines don't generally care much about camoflage, so maybe they're red to represent the blood aspect, rather than the "frozen" aspect of their name.
Perhaps they're a lost Blood Angels successor, or something along those lines.
forgot to say that, thanks ptn
it is because of the blood aspects
and the white, and the even lighter coat of blue which is nearly impossible to see in the pics, and thatss for the frozen aspect
and im still working on the paladin part, that's mainly fluff, but im going to have loots of assualt marines and swords and stuff in this army so eh
the name sounded cool
So that's blue? I thought they were just dirty. Anyways, It's a nice looking scheme. It has the visual boldness and warmth of reds, without looking like the Bloodg Angels. Good conversion of the guy holding the axe in both hands. I've always found that tough to do.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
i know, it is hard to do, it took me a awhile too get him converted
and yeah, i relized it looks like dirt from the pics, im hoping when i take the new pics, it will look better, it looks cool in person, but i haven't captured it yet on camera
k so i took some new pics
still not happy, can capture the paint right on the camera
her's some more, im wworking on a squad of termies right now, and my command squad, and a squad of sm's

The pics are very blurry and hard to really give a good critique on. I would suggest looking into the macro features on the camera if there is one. Otherwise see about taking as big of a resolution a picture you can and take some further away pictures much like your original ones but crop out most of the background and then leave them larger. That should make it to where comments could be better made.
Color scheme looks interesting though I don't know how well the blue works looks a bit too bright.
