How do you paint it? I prefer not to use lots of coats, but that seems to be the way its done. I was thinking about skull white, then use a very fine grapgic pen to draw in the recesses, but this is a VERY rough idea.
I would start with black undercaot. From there do a thin layer of codex grey, leaving black showing in the creases. Next would be space wolves grey, again leaving some of the previous colour showing around the edges. Remeber to keep these coats fairly thin as you want them to be smooth. Then do three or four layers of watered down white (not too runny but still thin). THis shoudl ensure a nice even coat. That method was used on my trial termie for the shoulders and face here:
Hope it helps
It depends on if you will be doing any shading on the model.
Doing very, very light grey is much easier to highlight/shade than white.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
i just make a thin, grey basecoat, with a little bit of black showing through, followed by a heavy drybrush of a lighter grey. then, lots of medium drybrushing with white, making it lighter and lighter until you get the desired result.
