My dad has told me that I should paint my models before a I assemble them and I was wonder if anybody does that and if it worked well
yes it has worked well, however i use both techniques confused? let me explain
for easily 'surfacing parts' like space marines torsos, legs, and head, u might want to stick these on first, as there wont be real painting problem. then u paint the individual arms then stick them on follwed with the shoulder pads, and last but not least paint the bolter.
but it really depends on what army u collect.
My best friend uses Black Tempilar, and he says thats what he does. Says they glue on BETTER if ya paint first......
I don't know about that last part...but His guys are detailed.........
 Thats funny, it doesn't matter whether or not you glue them together first or assemble them after painting. It's all a matter of preference.Originally posted by -=Silver Skulls Marine=-@Jan 9 2004, 15:24

My elvish name is Maeglin Meneldur.
Here we go.
There isn't much difference in the paint job if you glue after. Maybe some far away hidden places are painted, but noone looks there anyway! The Cons, however, are bad. With superglue, the glue doesn't stick the model together, it sticks to the paint. Plastic glue with burn through the paint, so if the model is plastic, paint away. If the model is metal, though, just glue first.
Henceforth no man shall set foot upon the world, and all around shall be set sentinals to ward away unwary spacecraft. We must accept that this place is lost to us forever, and is now the eternal habitation of abomination.
