I've decided to buy the Ba'lakor model becuase in my opinion the coolest deamon model and use him as a demon prince for my khorne army. What could i do to make him seem more khorne like? I'd be grateful for any ideas anyone could give me
I get the feeling you like him as he is and don't want to drastic a change to him so I'll try to give advice that will leave him intact.Originally Posted by Ceberus
Well for starters try to put skulls on his base. All daemons work well with skulls but if he gets a Khornate paint job it will help to reinforce the Khornate look of him.
Symbols of Khorne are good to. The plastic Worldeaters have some Khorne symbols hanging by chains from the end of thier chainswords. They can be placed hanging from his body. You may not have any plastic Worldeaters of course so ask around or simply make a few larger ones and put them again on his base.
The paint job will also be important. Try to use tattoos on him, symbols of Khorne. The traditional weapon of Khorne is the axe so replacing his sword with an axe may be a good idea. It will help show that he's a Daemon prince of Khorne not just a red Ba'lakor. I would suggest you try the Kroxigor of the Lizardmen or the Minotaurs for a source for an axe.:w00t:
Addition of skulls to the base will bring this model more in line with Khornate Daemons. For something a little different you could buy this symbol from Forgeworld, and have the daemon standing on it. If you use the symbol as part of a highly decorated base it will definately add to the model.
Leech's suggestion of replacing the Sword with an axe is a good one, as an axe is far more "Khorne" than a weakling sword!
The horizontal horns on the model's head could be decorated with skulls/Khornate symbols hanging from chains. The addition of some more armour might also help.
Painting the model to look like a Khornate Daemon will be very important - so lots of reds and blacks. Also, paint any armour he wears in a bronze colour.
Hope this helps mate.
Thanks alot for the ideas guys, there a realy good help
Well, there are alot of skulls already modeled into the wings consider taking the skulls on chains in the berserker box and glue them to the bottom of the sword's shaft. IMO you should add to the model before adding to the base. Also if you decide to add alot of skulls to the base, you should model belakor's foot standing on some of the skulls on a higher level than the other.

Simplest change is to switch his sword out for something else. But the sword is quite nice so I'd leave it.
The most drastic change I would do is carefully grind off the 8-pointed star on his chest and replace it with the mark of whatever relevant god you're using.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
