Ok i got a BT starter force a few weeks ago and it came with a spare set of legs. im intending to convert a chaplain outa this. i intend to use the long, purity seal style bits off the tomb kings standard for some decoration. the Crozius arcanum is going to be made out of the BT axe on the crusader sprue with an imperial eagle banner top from the command sprue. but i have found 1 problem so far... i have no idea of wat to use for the head... all else is coming along fine just the head... if any1 could help me out with this itd b gr8 thanx
Use the skull head in the chaos hordes, I think its in there.
The chaos warriors from WHFB have a nice skull helmet for a chappy. Don't know if you can buy seperate sprues in Australia, but it might be quite expensive if you cant. Here is a pic of my WIP chaplain using this head:
Alternatively, the CSM squad (the main CSM sprue if you can get seperate sprues) has a good head for a chaplain (will look good once you paint it in skull colours anyway). Here is a closeup of the particular head from Battlewagon Bits.
Hope this helps
Or you could carefuly cut out part of a standard SM helmet and attach a cut-down Skeleton-head from WHFB.
If you use Bw you can not only buy these CSM helmets, but the Skull helmet! It's one of the few Fantasy products they sell! Klick!
Or use these for the other idea about cutting the helmets interior.
The first idea may be much easier and less work, but if you already have a skull you don't need, too much time and motivation you can try the harder version !
Edited: For the purity seal style fabrics you can also use GS. I did it for the Painting Competition and it was a lot of fun. Photobucket, if you don not want to search the Comp.

Hey thanx for all the ideas... i have chosen to go with the harder idea. i took the helmetless head from the BT crusader sprue and cut the face off but kept the lense. then i wook a skull from the tomb kings skeleton sprue and cut the back off. i cut the left eye socket off of the skull and made a big enough gap to put the lense through. but it was out of line... the skull was slightly bigger than the marine head. so i rummaged through my bits box and found the iron halo thing that came with the new Chaplain in Termie ARmour. stuck this over the gap and it came out looking effective... this still didnt look right for a while so i sprayed it and now it looks good... (alot of my conversions dont come good till painting) but yes overall it looks quite the part for my BT
Thanx 4 all the ideas
Can we see some pictures?

Yeah I like it too and it's good to see someone trying to do the harder conversion (hopefully to become better ) The Tomb Kings sprue is great! I use it aswell, you get skulls, shields and some other nice bits.
