Ok the mark of Wulfen must be trying to break me down because i've been painting more space wolves!!! I'm really enjoying being back to painting my wolves, espially since i've finally found a metal method that works for me, only taken a year of trial and error to work out how to paint metals lol
NMMUM - Non Metallic Metals Using Metallics - same technniques as NMM but with metal paint. Simple.
The pics show some of my best examples of this to date. The trousers are being repainted brown leather, and the boots will be black, far more viking sw like.
The weaponry, skin and armour looks very nice. I'm not fond of the lower-body, but as you will change it around, I see great potential in this technique. Which metallic paints you used?
Codex Grey covered with thick layer of Skull White washed in Fortress Grey works great with Space Wolf Scouts. Matches the armour without looking the same.
Never liked green nades, but that is just me.
So much grey - why not do the pants (cloth) in different color?
The execution is great!
Bases are nice too - like the snow.
