i have recently minorly converted a dreadnaught into a Venerable Dreadnaught for My Black Templars by adding a Robe of sorts and putting a chapter Standard on it.
my problem is that i can't paint such amazing detail. so doing a marine painted onto the standard or anything of the same particular standard.
what i was wondering is. what else can i paint onto it etc?
thanks for any input.!
before attempting freehand work its advisable to do a few concept sketches on paper first to decide what you want and to work out how it'll fit.
After that and you're happy use a pencil to draw on the banner your design.
Its a personnal choice of what you want your banner to depict. But strong templar inconography is things like chained swords and shields.
you can also use a standard pen to help you while painting on the banner.
the standard BT cross thingy is rather popular
ill hopefully be putting up some pics of My Venerable Dread and one of my normal Dreads up on this thread soon. computer is being an a**e atm
