    Berzerker Lord with glaive-WIP

Update for all of you that might be remotely following my battleforce challenge.
I built up a lord for my berzerkers, and decided to give him a berzerker glaive.
Remember that all parts were scrounged only from the CSM battleforce.
I'm pretty happy with the way he turned out.

    Enjoy!
    Comments, constructive critisizm welcome.

Thats some pretty nifty work there mate. I especially like the use of the flash suppressor on the business end of the glaive, it works very well. Can't wait to see it all painted up.

The only thing I can see that needs a little more attention are the skulls on the backpack. The join with the backpack has a slight gap which looks a bit odd (on both sides as far as i can tell). Some green stuff would remedy this nicely.

Other than that it's great, I really like it.

    Cheers,
    Rich

yes a very nice glaive indeed. A Slaanesh player complimented a gift of the blood god so you know it must be good. I agree that the back pack needs greenstuffing.

Very awesome model. Like everyone else has said, the glaive is great looking. Amazing model.

Thanks for the props guys. Unfortunately I ended up base coating the model before being able to gap-fill the backpack part(too bad) as I ended up missing that little detail when working on him. He's intended for exclusive use in the tourney tomorrow anyways, so I'm not too worried. If I were to ever put a glaive on a Lord he sure as heck will be statured.

I really like the pose on your model. He has a strong flow of movement in him which is a hard thing to capture. Excellent work indeed.

While I agree with everyone else regarding the sheer awesomeness of the glaive, I have to disagree with Leech here. I kind of feel like the guy looks over balanced. I know he is probably supposed to be running, but it looks to me like he's taken a swing with a weapon that's too much for him and he's lost his balance.

    But that's just me...

Great work overall, and particularly on the glaive.

A little bit of both, actually. The pose was intended to capture the maniacle fervor that I envision a lord with a weapon called "berzerker glaive" would have. Wildly swinging, stabbing and spinning to try to hit the enemy as many times as possible decimating whomever foolish enough to get in his path! I don't particularly envision those kind of guys to hold perfect martial balance. But with enough skill and inate balance to still keep swingin!

Wow, I really love this model, not just because I'm a huge Khorne-fan, but just because it looks cool. That's prolly one of the collest Gliaves I have ever seen. I love the dragon head decoration. May he slaughter many in the name of the Blood God!
