Hey guys, just thought I'd post a couple of pics showing you my new;y converted Chaos Lord. I'm sure I could have done better, and forgot to water the paints down, so the painting is sub-average IMO, but I hope you guys can give me some advice to improve. Please bear with me, as the pics are dark and minda hard to see, but I only have one lamp wright now. I'll try for better pics soon. Well, enjoy.
Well, I hope you liked it, and feel free to ask any question that spring to mind.

Did you use any greenstuff to hide the joins?
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Unforunatly, I don't have any, nor do I have any experience what-so-ever with it. I may try to get some soon, as I feel that it will greatly enhance my minis. I hope he dosn't look too amatuer...
where did you get the awesome wings?
Nice...love the wings and sword... Sweet job (Y)!
By day he fought with sword and shield.....
By night he fought with pen and parchment.....
He was....The Warrior Poet.......
Fear the ANZAC Clan!!!!!
ORDER OF THE SHADOWY FLAME!!!
Do you have uber micro...????
OK, first things first - GET RID OF MOLD-LINES! That one on his head in particular is WAAY distracting. Just a little extra time prior to painting will immensely improve any mini.
As for the painting, I like it. At first I was thinking that the colors blend together too much and leaves you with a gold-brown blob. And from a distance I think that is still the case. Yet at the same time, this guy is a choas lord. He's been around for millennia, and likely has totally trashed his armor and added hides, trophies and aged skulls for thousands of years. Furthermore, cleanliness just doesn't seem to be a chaos trait, and as such what used to be bright, shiny Space Marine armor has become browned, greasy, gaudy chaos armor. So really, It's probably quite realistic, which is a plus. It may not be the most showy piece, but I still appreciate a more realistic style.
Overall, good job.
Marion: You're not the man I knew ten years ago.
Indiana: It's not the years, honey, it's the mileage.
For the last time, there are
NO FEMALE SPACE MARINES!!!!!
Nice job, but like RJ said, a little beforehand preparation goes a long way, mold lines really spoil a good model so that would probably be your first job and get ahold of some greenstuff or epoxy putty. This material may seem imposing but not a large margin of skill is actually required for gap filling and other things to that effect. So all in all sweet model, just needs a few touch ups here and there and he'll be pretty as a picture.
Btw; the wings are from a Vampire Counts Winged Nightmare, correct me if I'm wrong.
I like it. Paint seems discoloring may be the lighting. as for the sword, that wick cool, but use glue fill the cut gap in to close it.
Moose, I like it. I like it a lot
I just think he should be on a 40mm base, then he'd look even better.
Also, greenstuff is damn easy to use! Try it out, it's fun, it's like being back in playschool!

Thanks guys, I really like this guy myself. I know that mold lines really do distract from the mini, so I guess I'l, start putting that tiny bit of extra effort in my work  .
The wings are, in fact, Vampire Count Nightmare wings, given to me by Quan shi, and I had to cut some of them off [Well, I suppose 'cut' isn't really what you do with plyers, I kinda tore it off] before they would fit. As for the sword, it's just two chainswords I had lying around glued together. I didn't have anything else that looked remotly daemon of impressive, so I figured 'Hey, he'll just have a REALLY big sword!'
Alas, I thought of the 40mm base idea, but I don't have any lying around, otherwise I would deffinetly put him on.
Again, thank to everyone for the posotive feedback, I'll hopefully have some pics of my other minis up soon, including some of my new Necrons.
One more thing, I guss nobody notice the balance penny on the back shot :shifty: .
