[color=red]I need some ideas for a fort i going to make for my Black Templars army.
Any one have any ideas?
I suppose the fortress from GW is too expensive eh?
Pretty simple actually. I have made many things like that, currently I am working on a Iron Warriors Fortress that covers a 3x4 square. Anyways it take lots of plasticard, some say PVC piping that is itty bitty, a couple of extra autocannons and heavy bolters, and some clay. Not gonna tell you how, just let your amaganation run wild.
Using stuff like this I have made a hive city for the armageddon campiang and a epic scale version of the Empeorers Palace on Terra.
Sounds good, any pics?
Ok my layout...
Have you seen "Starship Troopers"?
Do you know what I'm saying if I refer to the fort in that movie?
Use the layout of that fort, but make the structures stronger, maybe from sloping plastcrete... of corse you will have to mke the walls out of something other than plastcrete so feel free to make it from cardboard covered with plaster.
starship troppers fort? I don't remember the fort in the movie
Hi! The black templars is a very gothic and fanatical spacemarine legion. Knowing that, you should start looking for inspiration on the net. Search for pictures of churches and cathedrals from the gothic period, art by H.R GIGER, and forts, castles and towers from the crusades. This should give you some inspiration.
Aside from that I got some ideas from reading your question. Churches are almost always cross shaped from above, so why not make your fortress shaped like the black templars chapter symbol!
Ave Dominus Nox!
Come on you know what I mean, in the middle of the movie Rico and the platoon reach a deserted outpost, a little after that they get attacked by the bugs.starship troppers fort? I don't remember the fort in the movie
Anyway, try looking at the general arcitecture of the 41st millennium. What do you see?
Dark colours, square and straight sided structures.
For the layout of the fort, just look at any fort or castle you know and just create the walls in a new "way".
i really dont rmember the layout of that fort, better go to the kwikie mart and rent it!
"Jo do dat!"
Ok maybe that fort looks a little "small budget", at least when looking at the wall thinkness, but I think the idea is good enough.
Try maube using the layout of Dover Castle as the template or even "Akershus festning" in Oslo.
Just model them appropriately with more "modern" arcitecture...or more 40k'ish arcitecture.
