This is a continuation of the army I am painting for a friend that doesn't feel he has the steadiness to paint. The Hammerhead can be found *here*.
I need some suggestions on the Crisis Suit.
Seems too white, but I don't want to overload the colors. If I can get a balance similar to the Hammerhead, I should be good to go.
The arm joints and central back plate will be midnight blue soon, but that's probably not enough.
how about doing the head, fin behind the head and the strakes in the intakes blue as well?
Not bad at all! The black looks striking against the white. Your white is also smooth looking which is a plus. My one observation is that for some reason it looks a bit sterile. Maybe a little more integration of the orange-red color into the figure would help it out. Or more of the blue/black to balance it out a bit more.
With the hammerhead you had more of the blue/black color to even it out a bit. This guy I think may be too white.
Otherwise great job!

I ain't so sure about Midnight Blue. I had Midnight on my Crisis Suit, and before I sprayed it(sealed) it looked black, but afterwards it looked really blue.

The head will be blue on the commander (since he doesn;t have a separate commander model currently), and intakes will be black/drybrush boltgun to match the HH. Didn't think about the fin, though.Originally Posted by FranksiExactly. I just don't know if it would make sense to fill in some of the squared off areas, or color something else. That's what I probably need the most suggestions for.Originally Posted by slorakThat wouldn't be an issue, since I could always go back over with more blue... but so far, when I have sealed an area with 'Ardcoat, it's gotten darker, not lighter. Haven't completely sealed anything with matte spray yet.Originally Posted by chaos0xomega
hey you have the same monitor as i have:shifty: (good mine is stil here)
nice white painted but i think it´s a bit to white for something that fights on an battlefield, so why not give the models feet some gound splatters and on the back of the legs also from the exhaust.

That is brilliant! Maybe a bit to white and needs some more other colours like the others said but all in all I love the white, it is so smooth. I would kill to be able to paint white that good. (now where did i leave that gun...)
I agree that it's very white. Maybe just a few more black spots would do the trick. Like the bolts on the side of his head, the exhaust vent over his shoulder, the panel on his chest, and maybe even a section of his right leg?
I reckon the base needs sanding and painting (unless the rest of your army's flying bases aren't based, that would be silly), that would add a bit of variety to the model, otherwise the actaul had parts on the arms and the black bits on the backpack would me good if they were red also...
