Hey can someone give me some tips for painting warhammer40k models? It would be great if anyone can reply.
I suggest you check out the Painting forum and do a search. :yes: You'll find many tips.Originally Posted by Thedarkness
Also, you should give people an idea as to which miniatures you're planning on painting, what colours you want, and things like that. There are different ways to paint different miniatures!
I suggest you try to be more specific, 'painting tips' is a rather broad subject matter. You have an army in mind that could be helped with? What sort of tips are you looking for?;
- Paint - Types, usage
- Minis - preperation
- Spray - Undercoat, basecoat?
- Brushes - Size, type, cost
There are lots of things but I do suggest you check out CoolMiniOrNot, their articles on painting are very helpful; they are even labelled [Beginner, Intermediate, Expert].
sorry I mean't painting with a brush, and also helpful tips for painting the imperial guard.
well, I suppose the first thing you wanna do is base coat your models. Depending on what colors you're planning, you may want to base in either black or white. After that, its really up to you. Alot of people I play with say they enjoy painting AFTER assembly of models, but personally, I find more detail can be done if you paint individual pieces.
