As mike as done, Polystyreme is a great cheap material its like 3 sheets for 3 dollers and a good knife for 99 Cents. all ya have to doo is draw out a diulding then cut it its really easy and its great for terrain.

Toast have u seen the movie V for Vendeta.

Anywho back on subject. yes foamcore (common name) is great for senery and it works great with hot glue guns. Dont use anything else.

It is fairly sturdy and u can make it stronger by pushing shishka bob scewers through the foam. Like the way roads are made. the metal fram and concrete around it.

U should also look into some hard board. (it makes a great base for your building) or maybe like som 1/4 inch plywood.

foam core can be found at craft stores. a search through your local newspaper ads may gift you with an ad of form core for sale, i bought mine from michael's last year when they were on sale.

coupled with the templates in the back of the BRB and theres a start to terrain, also trash, old soda bottles, cans, paper towel rolls, etc, check out the cities of death book, theres a nice HUGE structure built mostly of cardboard.

here are some terrain links that GW posted on their site

BTW, note that foamcore is available in a version that is black foam with black cardboard around it. Since gaming terrain inevitably gets roughed up from use over time, I suggest using this kind since worn spots or tears will be black instead of blinding white...much less noticable!
