Having looked around the forum quite a bit, I must say, I'm a little taken back by the sheer talent and skills of the people here at LO.
I am without doubts a rank amateur, and feel slightly embarrased, but i'm here to learn. So i'd though i'd post some of my conversions to see what everyone's responses might be:
This is a Lascannon Havoc I've been working on. I like the idea of a Chaos Space Marine taking the first step in turning into an obliterator. Hence the wiring and no disernable 'trigger'
This is a picture from behind. Naturally, the lascannon is so huge that it links directly into his backpack. I decided to keep both exhausts, as he'll probably need it shooting down Eldar, Marines, Mosquitoes and other pests.
This is an Autocannon havoc, which has been ripped from the cold dead hands of an Imperial Guard Fire Team. As an Alpha Legion player, I like the idea of Chaos marines supporting themselves behind enemy lines and replenishing their ammo in any way possible.
I love the fact that, a weapon which takes two soldiers to operate, a Marine can operate on his own.
This is my statured prince, although, I don't imagine i'll be using him much. He was created from green stuff and spare parts. He's beautifully WYSIWYG compliant though. So when i do larger battles for campaign etc, he'll be usefull. I dunno where i got that giant axe from, but it's perfect to represent pretty much any daemonic weapon. Notice the dismembered, disembowelled Black Templar on his base and the shattered imperial eagle. This is mainly a taunt against the annoying teenage Black Templar players that plague my local GW - immature, but fun.
You can't really see it from this angle, but he has a snake like tail.
Every Chaos Player should have one - A flying HQ armed with a Kaigun. He's sniped many a marine in his time. The khorne running legs and the heavy bolter looked really cool, like he was going to jump off os something. For that reason, i gave him some wings and jazzed up the H.Bolter a bit.
Thanks if anyone bothers to take a look at this.
Dude!! If your a rank amateur, im a complete and utter noob !!
Those are some fanatcis pecies.
Cannot wait to seem them painted up and ripping up the imperium!!
98% of the teen population has smoked weed, if you are the 2% that hasn't, and blindly believe everything you read on the net, then put this in your signature.
PS - i AM the Green Lantern
Those are pretty good:yes: I'd really like to see them painted!
ya, those arent bad at all, the only thing i can say is try to smooth out the GS a little, just to make it flow with the pieces its attached to
Man those are great, i love the lascannon guy.
I think these are some very good Alpha marines. The use of all those parts together works well. It gives an idea of the armour they have being made from a variety of sources and probably being scavenged and warped down the ages.
If I could make one suggestion. I have made many models over the years that are having or have had thier guts/entrails torn out. I think the Black templar needs some more entrails and internal organs spilling out of him.
Again great models with some more pratice you will be flying. To be true green stuff even when done well still looks bad before it's painted, the models you have will look much better once they are painted.. I'm especially interested to see what you may do with any possessed you may have.
And by the way I think my favourite is number two on the page, the one with the autocannon.
Thanks one and all for your support. Especially Leech, I’ve seen how stern and critical you can be (in a good way naturally).
I shall definitely add more guts and bionics etc. coming out of the templar.
I’ll continue converting and posting any stuff I think is interesting or need help with.
At the moment, I’m working on a Chaos Predator. It’s an old old one, so looks quite dinky in comparison with the new ones
The imperium will not be ripped up...but really nice models man.:yes:Originally Posted by D4RKN3SS
Very cool stuff. Remove the fingerprints.
Aah yes.. leaving my own mark on them - in the worst possible way ^__^;;
My friend taught me how to get rid of those, AFTER i had modelled them >.<
I really need to get a sculpting tool, but when i have green stuff the 5 year old in me comes out, so it gets everywhere
