Can anyone please tell me what is a Plasticard? and where can I buy some? I went to Home Depot today and asked someone for direction, the thing is that he doesnt know what a Plasticard is and I felt embarrassed that I wasnt asking for the right stuff (or right name). Instead, he led me to something called a PlastiGlass that's about 1/4 thick and not good enough for the terrain piece that I want to build. Thanks.
Anima Tactics - try it out!
I've used it before. It's sheets of plastic, probably about 1/8 inch thick or so, comes in sheets that probably measures like 6" x 10" or so. It's easy to work with, you just score it with an exacto knife in any shape, and bend it and it comes out how you want with minimal cleaning. It's very handy.
One sheet will run you about $3. My friend got it, I don't know where from (somewhere online I think), but I think he said that plasticard is a foreign name for it, and it's called something different in America.
Send a personal message to durhead. He can give you some details.
Plasticard is just a generic term for sheets of plastic card.
As has been described and for about the same price as mentioned.
They can be found in good hobby shops, or if you are on a budget, you can use the flat sheets of plastic from food packaging. A pair of scissors or scoring with a knife is needed to cut.

2 of the biggest suppliers of plasticard is Evergreen and Plastruct. You can find the links to their websites here!
It comes in all sizes, shapes, and even color!
I have heard that a good cheap alternative is using for sale signs and such found in hardware stores. I haven't tried using them so to be honest I don't know how they compare but it might be something to look into.
As for where to purchase it... as already stated a good hobby store should carry it. The best source I have found is model railroad hobby stores. I am sure you can order it online as well.
Good luck in your search.

I think it is called sheet styrene (sp?) in the United States. I think hobbytown USA should have some.
***Disclaimer, I do not work at Hobbytown USA nor do I know anyone that does, the reference to that store is to be used as a reference and in no way is an assurance that they will have Plasticard. Also this post is not to be interpreted as an endorsement for said establishment ***

what about australia?
i think that it probably has many names, and GW uses the name plasticard as 'slang' term like greenstuff. I think if you live in a city big enough for a games workshop, then you must have some sort of Model train store. I think if you were to inquire there about really thin sheets of hard plastic, they will know what your talking about. Model Train places are pretty much good for everything else to. Or you could just order it online like the one slorak suggested.
