I have the lord I've been working on in a more or less presentable condition now, so I wanted to post a few WIPs. After looking at the photos I've found a few spots that definately could use some cleaning up, but I think I'm going to let the model sit for a little while and move onto some other projects first. The base still needs to be finished, but I need to decide how I'm going to do it first. I haven't decided what to do with her eyes yet; I'm kindof digging the idea of eyes without pupils, but it makes her look unfinished so I haven't decided yet.
The base for the model was a winged elf made by Magnificent Egos. I added the sword & bolt pistol, a few extra ribbon-dealies, and a broken chain attached to one ankle to the mix. Overall I'm fairly happy with the outcome. The ribbons need to have the transitions smoothed out more though. Right now it doesn't look very smooth at all, although it's not quite so harsh in person. I'm uncertain about the wings; they look fairly good in person but the close up photos make them look dodgy.
She's supposed to represent a Slaaneshi DP. I'm taking this from more of a holy rapture & zeal approach rather than 'OMB BEWBIES'. I'm just picking up angelic-looking models as I can find them.
A couple size comparison shots:
You play your game, I'll play mine.
I like the model, but for a Slaanesh army the colors are a bit too normal, don't you think? At least I'd try a different color tone for the skin...
If youre not gonna try a dif skin color than may I suggest painting on some scars maybe in slaaneshi symbols.
"They shall all taste OBLIVION!,.....which tastes like Red Bull, which is disgusting."
i agree that the model not 'evil' enough for me. I think that the model would benifet from having the the robes and skin were painted in a slaneeshi color(blue, black, purple). I personally would paint the robes purple and black with a light blue skin tone, with white hair. I like the eyes, they have a 'possesed' look to them. The only other thing i would do is pin vice the barrel of the gun. Not everybody does it, and it really makes your models look like you put alot of effort in them, and it really isnt very hard to do.

I'd try a pale or white skin tone. At the moment she looks holier than Sanguinius. Other than making it a bit more chaos-like there is nothing else i think you should do to the model. It looks verry good and original.
"DICE FOR THE DICE GOD!"
And the almighty Dice God said to his followers "Thou shalt not speak ye words "anything but a one" For thou whoever'st speaketh this blasphemy will be cursed with thy rolls being of one".
That looks more like something from a Witchhunters army rather than Slanesh. Paint it like your Daemonettes and it'll be great. If that is how your Daemonettes are painted, pictures please
