I'm starting to paint my 13th company army in a little bit, and I need to lock down exactly what my paint scheme is going to be. I like the standard space wolves army list just as much as I do the 13th, so I am considering using these models for both. How would you suggest that I paint them? Would people throw a fit if I painted them as true 13th, chaos equipment replacement and all? I think it would give my standard SF army some flair, but I wanted to make sure that I am not retarded
So to sum it all up...
- I want to use my 13th company army as part of a standard space wolf army as well...
- I am brainstorming my paint scheme
- I am wondering if too many people would shake their heads at me, given the mixed paint scheme that would result...
Given that the Space Wolves really don't care what people think of them, anyway, I figure it would fly. And sometimes companies get cut off anf have to affect battlefield repairs, using enemy equipment, if need be... The 13th isn't the only unit to have to resort to unusual means...
Well, what do you guys think?
Yeah I reckon you can get away with it, I have seen a few space wolf armies and 13th coy ones (I have one of each myself), i personally went for the more classic colours the light and dark grey, but that said I have seen a few dark grey standard space wolves armies and they are quite effective.
As you point out the armour thing that is not a big issue, it adds to the theme/uniquness of your army then.
Army most recently finished (well kinda): Space Wolves
Last Project completed: Converted Aegis Defence Lascannon
Next Project: Long Fang Diaorama
Cool. Maybe I just needed to be affirmed in my decision-making process.
