Welcome to Librarium Online!
This may be a bit of a noob question, but I was wondering what the difference is between black wash and black ink (usually mixed with water). I think they are used for the same end result, as a wash... but what is the difference?
Basically one and the same. In regards to an ink wash - you are usually heavily watering down the ink so that it is just barely tinting what you apply it to. You can also add a bit of Glaze medium to the ink to get a more uniform coverage while still thinning out the pigmentation of the ink.
Hope this helps!

Ink washes tend to stain the colour underneath, while paint washes tend to stay more in the recesses of the mini.

Unless you really water the ink down. You can vary a paint wash more, because you can really control the thickness of the paint. I use light-to-dark washes of green on metal to make a quick rusty look.Ink washes tend to stain the colour underneath
