Hello again dear friends,
I converted this guy for the Order of the Shadowy Flame bike contest (that some of you may have seen), but didn't manage to finish painting him in time.
I managed to get him don (in a very big rush) at 1am on Games Day morning, in order to enter him on Golden Daemon, where he didn't win anything. I didn't really expect to, especially after I got superglue on his hand, seconds before handing him over. Argh.
Anyway, please let me know what you think, C&C is always welcome
And here is a much larger image with 5 different angles, if you're interested in getting a better feeling for the whole thing:

I love the idea behind this one mate! A really good concept, I feel like the painting was rushed though, as I don't think its the best job I have seen you produce.
For me the reds seem very flat, that may be the pics washing out the colours but I would like to see them a darker red, with more brighter highlights. Also the gold to me seems very dark, I think maybe an extra layer of shining gold with some mitril highlights would really make the details pop!
But apart from that, its still better than anything I could produce. What chapther is it?

It looks good but definitly the red could do more work.
However how did you get such a smooth red.
Along with what chemical caveman said you could try some freehand for on his shoulder pad as its plain right now. Other than that its an awesome model!

LOVE the concept! I bet it looks great on a game table too!
Great idea of using the Ven. Dread's fronticepiece for a lectern.
A few things I noticed. The bronze/gold could use some highlighting. You've already got a nice shading on it, but a little boost with a lighter gold/silver mix would really bring some added life to the metals.
The reds could use some highlights as well. And, (as already mentioned) the shoulder guard is insignia-less

Nice paintjob, but as they said its all in the shoulder pad. I like the writting in the book infront of him and just one thing, the base is sort fo plain otherwise very good
i like it nice to see it finshed but it looks a little too pink for my tastes im not the biggest fan of it but i realy realy love the convertion
"Mr. Cypher please come out from underneath the table, the Dark Angels are not out to get you."
awsome idea. awsome. a bit too pink, but thats my only bone to pick
"In dedicato imperatum ultra articulo mortis"
very nice,...although u have to give the base another think about...
