I know it isn't kosher with GW, but I only need it temporarily.
I saw them built on another site, but does anyone know where you can find leman russ/basilisk paper cutouts of tanks? I tried google hunting but I couldn't find anything. I'd just like some proxies while I save up for for the real things.
Shoot me a line if you don't feel like posting the link up here for fear of GW dropping the hammer on them.
I didn't know that kind of thing is against Forum Rules (and GW's rules). Why is that? I'm just curious, because it's not copyright fraud is it?

by discussing how to do things that get around buying modles from GW, that's kinda like theft.
it's kinda like downloading songs you don't pay for.
So how is this diffrent to people whom build models completly from scratch?
Other than some kind of outline and some flimsiness it's basically the same, right?
I just wanted a decent placeholder till I can afford to buy them.
I guess I'll have to keep using the predator I bought at the Salvation Army for .99 cents.
LO is great for all alround hobby but if you are looking to do some custom making try googling "Work In Progress" ... it is a 100% conversion based forum and the guys there have been in WD as well as at various GT/GD's in the states.
I'll PM you the link as it is an I n v i s i o n f r e e forum... good luck on your place holders.
Here's a generic "free" paper tank cutout.
There's a link to the color version at the top of the page.
No copyright infrindgement here.
Here's another one: http://www.papertigerarmaments.com/PT76.html
And one more: http://users.sdccu.net/chthulhu/mode...bby/model.html
Hope this helps.

Do not seek templates, its illegal and if GW shoped us, it would mean the end of these fine forums.
Here is a legitimate way of getting models to represent drop-pods at a more friendly price, although your local GW might not let you use it in the stores due to its non-GWness: http://www.miniaturescenery.com/Data...?Code=CMBBNKTL

Paperworlds has a few templates for tanks.
Not GW tanks mind you, but I think theyre about the same size.
