I'd like to post my humble conversions, I know that they are not of the highest standard but I'm slowly making it back into the hobby and would like opinions on what I did.
1. I can't find how to post images
2. My pics are quite crappy, any advice????
To answer your first question, try www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.com; both of which are free services that let you upload images from your computer to the internet. After you have your image on thier site, you can either link to it (ie: copy the web address of the image and paste it into a post), or use [ IMG] [ /IMG] tags (without the spaces, just past the direct link to he image between the tags) to put the image directly into your post.
For the second question, if you are using a digital camera, find out if it has a macro mode. This is usually represented by a little flower, like the one in the top left:
Make sure you have your camera on a tripod, or if you don't have a tripod, then at least rest it on something so that it is steady (you might think your hands are like rocks, but trust me, they aren't).
Put your model on a hard surface, with a piece of white paper underneath it, and another one propped up behind it.
Angle a light (preferably with a daylight bulb, or a blue filter) so that it is pointing at the model, from the angle you want to take your photo from.
Those are a few pointers to get you started, hopefully they should be helpful for you
