CSM with Bionics, Power Claw & Storm Bolter (work in progress)
I have used a basic CSM from the plastic box set which are amazing models these days, a far cry from the first ever set of plastic Space Marines I ever bought.
The Tracks are from a very old Ork Warbike that I have had in my bits box for over ten years now.
The middle bit is again from my bits box, a Battletech model or some kind of robot.
I have no idea where this came from? Any ideas please let me know, it is bugging the hell out of me!
I have added a Power Sword, more for the look than any thing else.
I have added a Bolter to each side that will be used together as a Storm Bolter
I have given him a modified Imperial Guard backpack, it fits well with the model I think.

It's an interesting idea, but I'll be waiting to see the GS work before saying whether its good or not.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
Pretty sure that claw is from an (older?) chaos dreadnaught. I could be wrong, but I have my dread modeled with two of those things.
I think the power claw is a bit oversised compared to the rest of him. but i really do like the model well done
ok, a few things i noticed
1-there is a rather large gap between the torso and the lower chasis of the model, you DEFINATLY want to either push him down more, cover it up, or fill it-since others didnt note this, it may not stand out that much, but it was teh first thing i saw when I opened teh page
2-the weapons, either go with large weapons, or smaller weapons, to the claw, the sword seems tiny, and to the sword, teh claw seems MASSIVE, either go with large weapons, or smaller ones, probably larger ones because the model is larger
3-positioning, the model looks uncomfterble to me, i dunno if its just me, or if its a bad position, but i would change that.
other than that, its a great model, a good idea, and hopefully a great commander!
enjoy finishing him, and remember, if you like him, it really doesnt matter what we say
I love it! Damn it to hell, that's what I've wanted to do with my Ad Mech Space marines, but I cant find decent tracks to fit for thier size... Tell me this guy's an Iron Warrior Chaos Lord/Lieutant/Chosen/whatever... If not, he should be!
Anyways, I do agree with Perturabo on the positioning of his arms. Having both of them outstretched forward like that looks quite awkward. An idea is to position the sword arm outstretched to the side of him, so it looks like he just finished a swing, and is following up with a power-claw thrust.
Might I suggest, though, for his second arm, instead of a power sword, use one of the Necromunda Pit fighter weapons HERE. I myself would go for the Buzzsaw, Rock drill, or Chainsaw arm, they look sufficently spiky and wicked.
Is that his spine connecting his torso to the chassis!? If so, thats flippin awesome, but I would suggest greenstuffing some strands of muscle/sinew, and/or some wires. Otherwise, I would suggest getting rid of that gap between the chassis and his torso somhow, either by GSing it, or sit his torso directly on the chassis.
Again, some GREAT work you've done there! Keep it up. If you can, try and run with this theme for the rest of the army, if you're doing that.
The gap between his torso and the track unit is meant to be there so that he can turn his body but this is not shown in his current position so I will be sending him back to the Iron Warrior technicians for a refit, maybe have two piston looking rods coming out? We will see!
He is not actually in an Iron warriors army although he is in my Lost and the Damned/Chaos Marine army called The Legion of Arachne and the fluff behind this is based around a Chaos Daemon Spider Queen who calles soldiers to her service like a "Siren" from Greek myth, so he was in the Iron Warriors but has "chosen" to serve in the Legion of Arachne. I have pads and insignia on my other marines to show that they once served another master and chapter.
Check out the fluff I have started writing for the army >>The Legion of Arachne

Nice conversion. Thought about doing it myself some time ago. Although I wanted to make the lower part with plasticard and probably IG tankthreads.
The model looks good so far. Just, like all others say, the sword is to tiny for the claw or the claw is to big for the sword.
Looking forward to seeing it painted up though.
