I will soon have my Tau Megaforce and Kroot box shipped from the UK at my doorstep.
I have been browsing the painting forums and Iv'e seen some strange colour schemes which turn up really well, awesome infact. Aswell as this I have seen regular schemes which also look fantastic!
I am struggelling as to which colours to use with my Tau. I was hoping that the painting guys on this forum with experience in the area could help me select a scheme?
I want a force which is versatile scheme wise. E.g they could fight almost anywhere and not look out of place - jungle, desert, city etc. I also really want striking colours which really stand out on the tabletop but arent cheesy.
I hope I can get some help, thanks alot in advance.
Wow, that's a bit of an ask- most camo schemes will look out of place in one environment or another. Deserts, ruined cities, jungles etc all have different 'back gorund' colours and it'll be tricky to find a scheme that fits them all.
I always recommend going with favorite colours- it helps with the painting and means you'll like the look of the army as a whole.
If you get really stuck go with the Stormtrooper look- black suit, white plates. It was the favoured dress on many an oppressed planet.
No more NG spearmen, thanks! Now I need some pump-wagons!
Tau Stormtroopers would look pretty good, actually. o.O
