First off, let me assure those who are following the project that the Valkyries are currently being painted, and pictures are soon coming. In the meantime, I want to share a special treat.
Captain Nanima is the current Warmistress, in charge of coordinating and monitoring the efforts of all twelve divisions of the Valkyries, although it is currently rumored that she is unlikely to retain that position for much longer.
Nanima dissapeared for three standard years during the Habiclor Campaign, when a previously unknown xenos race frustrated efforts of the third and fifth division to destroy the fortress located at the core of the stratified planet. The details of her dissapearance and return have never been shared with her subordinates, and while her talents at disruptive warefare are as keen as ever, whispers of changes to her personality and memories cause backs to straighten and conversations to hush whenever she passes.
Nanima weilds a mysterious artifact known as the bale-sword, whose surface is wreathed in a blue flame of unknown energies, painting firey arcs in the air as it is swung. Nanima and her bodyguard have abandoned the beam weapons typically deployed by the Valkyries in favor of traditional bolter weapons, although she refuses to give her reasons for this unorthidox change.

As exceptionally pleased as I am with this model (Female terminators are really really difficult to pull off), the lion's share of the credit goes to doghouse, who sculpted the torso and legs in a cross-atlantic collaboration to bring about this truly unique female suit of tactical dreadnaught armor. Props to doghouse and his truly amazing green stuff skills. We both had a lot of fun shooting emails and ideas back and forth as the model slowly took shape. Right now the arms are just blu-taced on so that it will be easier to paint.
As all ways your stuff looks great
Aside from being female, this doesn't seem to greatly resemble the other Valkyries, and it especially lacks their sleek, lighter look. If this were an SOB terminator, it'd be right at home, but it seems too big and too bulky to be a valkyre. Still, that is some impressive GS work.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
Also, I can't see the head very well; any chance of a bigger picture. I fele the head makes just as much difference to the gender as the body. As it is, it doesn't look very feminine, but it may just be me.

grumble grumble there are no female space marines grumble...oh hey.
aside from that, the model is great.
i really love the way you did the sword, ive never seen that method before, personally.
i dont know
the model is nice, ya, but it doesnt fit like the others do
the shoulders and arms dont do it for me, and teh sword, i understand that its a relic or whatever, but, i dont think it fits
i have stuck with teh project the whole way, and i dont expect to stop any time soon, so keep teh pics coming
one thing. why does the armour have breasts? Surely the armour is big enough to accomodate even the most amply gifted woman? Or even if it wasnt, she would surely be wearing a sports bra to ensure her melons would jiggle about.....
apart from that odity, its a nice model
