You seem to have a lot of experience with bonewhite.
I have a bit of trouble with mine.
It has a very thin consistency, more like milk, even after rigorous ( and i really mean very) shaking. I tried it once and it ended up cracking. there wasn't enough pigment in that fraction so it came under tension and tore. Is this normal for that color or do i have a bottle from a faulty batch.
i'll take one more attampt to stir it if i can get the lid of.
Just like yellows, and lighter reds, oranges I have found that the bone paint is indeed more liquid than other paint colors...
I haven't found that it has cracked or anything like that - in that event you may be low on pigment vs. binder ratio or it could indeed be a bad pot. As for the thickness though - it is thin.
Thanks anyway. It seems that i need to spread the rep to other before i can rep you again.
Anyway, i'm planning to make a mechanical shaker for my paints using some LEGO® and a electro motor.
For the paintingshemes:
UM: the classic second compagny.
DH: fortress grey and cold grey with bronze/gold finishings i think.
IG: 50:50 mix beastial brown and bonewhite;
Tau: black cloth, forthress grey armor and yellow helmets and rifles.
Lizardmen: Cayman green with 50/50 bonewhite/beastial belly and scorched brown stripes over their backs.
Sorry; no photo's
I must say slorak, that colour scheme is very effective and looks really nice :yes:.
