Hello again, maybe some of your remember me. I was the moron who tried to make his own Dreadnaught but it ended up HUGE.....and i painted those crappy "Sturm Guard" Marines a while ago, i gave up on WH40k until i got my new paints.
WELL! this is the first GW mini i've attempted in almost a year. tell me what you think.
that look very nice
Holy crap man. That is extremely nice. I wish I could paint like that.
Ask me something about Warhammer: Age of Reckoning.
Thumbs up from me.
... only triumph could turn pooing his pants into a good thing..
very nice,a great comeback to 40k
"In dedicato imperatum ultra articulo mortis"
Very clean and very nice looking too!
great work mate!
New Look Website
very nice work, not too happy about face plate, but otherwise very good
Everything you have been told is a lie!
its nice, the black doesn't quite pop for me, looks a tad bland. The scroll edges are too harsh a highlight.
The dark base really doesn't help the dark armour, it all just blends into one. I'd have preferred to have seen a different style base, like a eldar craftworld, or tau landing pad or a light sandy desert base. Just a subtle splash of colour used in a unique way...
I like it though.
Nice work, overall it's a good piece. I do however agree with Gareth on the base, it blends too much into the model; using a different shade of grey or colour for the bricks might have worked better. Again I agree with Gareth on the scroll edges and armour, one has too sharp a highlight the other seems quite unhighlighted. Personally I also found the gold a little dull and should have done better with a bit more highlighting and shading.
Overall a good solid piece and above gaming standard by far, improve bits here and there and it'll look twice as good.
