Hey there, everybody. I've been doing a fair bit of painting work lately, so I figured I might as well drop in here and show off some of the results.
First up, the Jump Pack Chaplain for my Raven Guard. I was so excited to finally have a Chappie on a jump pack (since I field loads of Assault Marines) that I picked this guy up literally the first day it hit stores. He lingered around partly done for quite a while, until I finally decided to finish him up. Glad I did, too - I love the model, and he's really my pride and joy of the army alongside my Dreadnought.
Larger pics here. Warning - really big pics.
Also, I've been playing around with some WHFB Chaos Warriors. Again, really nice models, and I'm really liking the looks of them once they're done. They're going to be Khornate, and they look awesome in red.
He's the first one I did, as well as the test model - this colour scheme just worked out right from the start.
Here's a bigger version, another warrior, and the pair together. (Big pics again.)
So, there we go. What do you think? Comments and constructive criticism are always welcome.
Both of those are really nice, but because Im not really an evil chaos expert  I'm going to only comment on the chappie.
The highlighting really sticks out...I don't know yet if it is too much or just right...I can't decide:wacko: Also, what kind of primer did you use? because it is very...errr...bumpy.
This has happened to me several times (due to crappy primer/weather).
The only other thing you might want to look at, it that all the skull/parchment you painted, are just straight up bleached bone (forgive me if it isn't im not that great with colours :tongue. I would recomend using some lighter colours and white to highlight them...it'll look great in the end (hopefully :wacko.

the only thing i dont like is the blue highlight on the black chap. besides that it's lovely
Now, let's see...
The primer is just GW Chaos Black spraypaint. So the texture has to come from either that or the Purity Seal flat spray I put on at the end. (I'm voting for the flat. <_< ) I think this is mostly a problem with it being blown up so drastically in the images, though - in real life, he looks nice and smooth unless you look really closely. I was pretty shocked when I first looked at the big pics myself - "Gaah! where'd that come from?!?!" ^_^
Definitely going to have to look into some different flat coats though...
The parchment, crozius arcanum, and the skull mask are actually layered up from Bestial Brown to slightly lightened Bleached bone - lots of layers in there. I think I made the transitions a bit too smooth though - it's hard to pick out the changes. Also, the wash I applied later, combined with the camera really kill the look. Not that I can blame you for missing it, though... I can spot the Crozius Arcanum and his facemask just fine, but even I wouldn't know about the parchment if I hadn't painted it myself !!
The bluish highlights are Shadow grey, I like to use it because it's not as jarring against the black as Codex and Fortress grey - those I save for the sharper highlights. But hey - personal preference and whatnot, eh?
EDIT: Hey, you know - I just noticed something. That big white patch in the chappie's eye isn't there on the model! Must have been my photo light reflecting off his glossy eyes. I knew something seemed odd...
