After falling in love with Chang Cheh's gimmick-ed kung fu warriors, I started trying to think of similarly unusual weapons and enhancement. It was inevitable that they turn to 40k conversions, and know I need help finding some materials.
The one I have in mind right now is a razored chain that the weilder whips around like...a whip. Go ahead and say it sounds dumb and is impractical, but it rocks in my head. However, I can't find a chain fine enough. The smallest I've found is better for bindings, not a weapon. Does anyone know where to find small enough chain? Or perhaps a suitable alternative?
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: Are you wounded?
Clouseau: No. Fortunately I was saved by the darkness.
Chief Inspector Dreyfus: So what we need is more light.
I would look at jewelstores, not the real expensive ones, but those with a lot of wooden stuff, like you might see in malls.
An other source you might find them is at a specialised model store. The ones where they sell items for railroad tables.
One last thing i think i saw stuff like that was in the catalog of plastruct.
it's a conpagny that makes miniature scenery.
Or take a look at the chins from forgeworld. They have 3 sizes.maybe they fit your idea.
