when they are explaining combat patrol and how to paint them. There is a section about scouts and they look hideous. There are no Higlights, and the small details are not even painted. The panter used to much paint and the texture is very uneven. And dont even get me started about the faces.
My question - arent these models suppossed to be painted by the 'eavy metal team? Why do these modes look horrible?

It's not an example on how to paint well, it's an example on how to paint quickly and still have it look reasonably good.
look at the imperial guard kill team, it will make you wish you were all that. I also noticed that too, but hey if you want to look at pretty pictures, just go back about 30-ish pages. The only ones i didnt like were the TAu and Scouts. They hurted my eyes....
