My 4 year old is fast on the track of being a painting prodigy... well maybe not quite that fast (a parent can only hope)!
At any rate thought I would share pictures of her painting her first miniature! Some light hearted holiday friendly stuff right!
Have a great upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday!
So how did the model turn out?
Colorful! Not sure if she is completely done with it. From time to time she likes to "add" to it! :w00t:
I may teach her basing as well... but she is just starting out!
Looks as though she's a better painter than me too! Gulp.

Be sure to save that model she's painting. Could be fun for her how her first model turned out.
Given that some of us started close to 30s *cough, me, cough* our first models are probably quite close  Good Luck with the padawan
Even more so because my daughter has the same name (assuming that the title of the picture is accurate to her name), and she just started painting as well!
But, mine's only two years old, so ended up just hucking the model across the room at the cat.
It's a step forwards, at least.
Indeed that be her name! I completely understand the reaction. I tried a bit early as well with similar results...
Since I am out painting quite a bit she likes to come out and watch and has been pestering me constantly about wanting to paint... So... I dug out some old miniatures that I don't ever plan on painting and let her go to town. She picked what colors she wanted and I just let her at it.
Someday (maybe soon) once she has gotten a little more of a grasp at painting something that is not on paper I might talk to her about the most basic of mixing colors... Probably a few more years before she will understand shading and highlighting... but a start is a start right!
Thanks for the comments... Makes a dad feel proud! Again Have a happy and Safe Holiday!
