    Tau Crisis legs

The legs on my GW crisis suits break so often that I've officially changed the name of my sept to the Li' imbo Sept.

Seriously though folks, anyone have a good (looking) fix for this problem?

    Pins.
    No, seriously, Pins.

I managed to make a Flamer barrel look like a leg before... It was actually more sturdy!

But, pins are the quick answer.

I havent had much of a problem. Do they break off in transport or while handling them in game? Ive had a few anteana bend and the clear stand break once, but the base kinda protects the legs - even a little when they are posed in flight. Just use good old plastic glue.

Now that i said that ill probably lose a leg next game lol

I am going to suggest the potent combination of Araldite, Greenstuff and pins. If that can hold the wings on my damn winged nightmare, than a puny tau leg shouldn't be any bother.

Just make sure you clean the surfaces to be joined before you do so. It helps. A lot. Especially with wraiths.

I can't even BEGIN to tell you how much my wraiths annoyed me.

I ended up fusing the joints between the spine totally with Araldite.
    minimalism is the key.

    Don't spam!

The only problems I've had with the Crisis legs have been at the ankles, which are very easy to bend - I solved this problem by wrapping a layer of green stuff around them. Seems to do the trick.

Right on, it is - for the record - the ankles that i am having a lot of issues with. I do transport them quite a bit - but I've had them break off when transporting them from the shelf to the table, so I dunno - you know? I'll go with pins and some GS to strengthen the ankles. As long as they're on the table - I'm going to do that forgeworld style conversion (designed for Broadsides originally -from the UK site I think) to make the legs look less... cheap.

Bloodthirster's arms fell of for me a lot even when pinned - so I'm thinking about using some of that there Ardalite stuff to fix him,as suggested here by Asmodean.

Muwah! I didn't pay dime one for 'em - I won 'em in a poker game! Seriously though, I have been feeling the tug of Orks after DoW. They just have so much... personality - plus I love the new kommando & burna' boy models - top notch stuff.

Thanks for the help and comments folks.

Well, with the new Eldar wraithlord out, you'll likely be able to get a bunch of the older wraithlord models (metal) for cheap. The legs off those look really good on crisis suits!

May not be an option depending on how you model them, but the only crisis suit that I have that breaks at the ankles is the one modelled to stand on the base. None of them on flying stands have had any problems.

    Well duh.

To fix any of my Crisis suits ankles (especially Broadsides), I drill through the base, through the feet and up into the legs. And then pin the stack together with 1.5mm brass rod.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
