I collect Raven Guard and hve encountered a teeny-weeny problem.
I can't paint their Chapter Symbol and it ticks me off.
First thing I'd do is to see if GW makes slide transfers for the Raven Guard, or better yet some Shoulder Pad Sculpts, which would be great.
If you're out of luck in that department, I'd just try to get the smallest brush possible, and be EXTRA careful.
High quality confectionary bribes to a person you know with exceptional painting talent can also help.

I think this is more suited to the Painting forum.
I have found that there can be two ways to tackle a problem like this. The first is to paint a white circle onto the black. You then take a very fine detailed pen and draw the symbol on. A pen is typically easier to control than a brush.
Make sure the pen does not get clogged. The other way is to use a brush instead. This involves loads of practice but you will eventually get the hang of it. Remember that you can use black and white to add to or subtract from the end result. You don't simply have to paint white onto black and hope it all turns out ok. You can use more black later to touch it up, infact it is usually the only way to get it right.
i would actually paint the whole thing white, then just "erase" the white with black. You could also make your own transfers....all you need is some special paper (which staples carries i think) and a printer. Then just gert a really big picture and then scale it down to the appropriate size.
