This is my space marine chapter. Yes, They are purple and are all beakies. I am sort of going for an older chapterl, hersey era esque feel for these guys My camera isnt the greatest so some of these are slightly blurry.
I used the shrike model for my chaplin because the army is based around fast attack, and the shrike model is really cool and fun to paint.
Assault squad vet sgt. If you go to the conversion form you can see the one i just finshed for my second squad of assault troops.
Some scouts. The guys with the sniper rifles are the first models i painted when i got into the hobby, they are on my list to go back and touch up.
here is a standard marine
And a land speeder
Old school jet bike.
Thats about it so far.
Fantastic stuff mate!
The only suggestion I have is making some of the metal (specifically on the land speeder) a little more worn, maybe a thin brown or black ink wash. But other than that, wonderful (Y)
My personal favorite is the dread, it just looks awesome!
“You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred.” ~ Woody Allen
The scheme rock!
YES Mk XIV Bullock Jet Cycles, you got to love those
Anyway paint scheme:
You have a neat hand but dont seem to have highlighted anything - rather odd - any reason?
Paint scheme- the purple, orange, brown and greys work, the green doesnt work with the purple for me, appart from on the termies
Everything you have been told is a lie!
I love the colours and the unity over the whole, well done indeed.
I'd like to see the bases done differently, personally.
They look unpainted and so unfinished. Even if you want to keep the same colour, maybe some inking to give the bases more 'texture'.
But that's only minor. Well done again, it's great to see some slightly odd colour schemes out there.
Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
nice stuff man really like the color scheme my friend john would love them purple and green are his fav color scheme. love the idea of a all beky army im guessing your battle wagoning that! The only thing I saw was the little sheilds on the termies Im not to sure I like them metal it almost looks like it clashes to much with the numerals on them hard to read. Overall love em though. Especially the dread.
"They shall all taste OBLIVION!,.....which tastes like Red Bull, which is disgusting."
I think the low quality of the pictures my camera takes + flash washes alot of the shading out.
I am not a huge fan of the bases, but they were done quickly and i dont know much about basing yet, i have put most of my time into improving my painting skills. they will probally get redone at some point
I like it! The color scheme goes very nicely, and some of the modelling on your guys looks great as well. I did notice one thing though -- on your Chaplain (at least I think it is from the mask) on the jetbike, did you glue his axe on backwards?
yeah, that is an old chaplin model and it is solid pewter, so if the axe is backwards then GW messed it up
