Civilian Outpost Delta
This is a terrain set that incorporates scenery from CNC Workshop and Forge World. Not too many pics here, but enough to give the general idea.
Blue Table Painting: Gallery List
The buildings are from the Sand Series by CNC. They are die cut from wood and slotted for easy assembly.
I think they make a great base for further embellishment, but they definitely need more added to them. We added a lot of different parts—empty bottles, plastic mesh, and so forth. The dead grass (which to my mind is a good urban addition and breaks up the grey) is Woodland Scenics Wild Honey static grass, one of my favorites. The sandbags were hand-made from green stuff.
The Imperial Guard gunners are Sabretooth platforms from Forge World. They fit quite handily in the upper levels.
Forge World IMPERIAL GUARD EMPLACEMENTS
The buildings were mounted on ¼” wood foundations, and they fit together as a unified whole. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a shot of the whole thing put together (probably because it wouldn’t fit in the diffusion box).
Nevermind the other oddball models in the album. Those were stragglers from other projects.

But the first and last picture are the same piece, from the same angle.
I definitely think the dead grass goes a long way to breaking up the monotony of the grey.
The forge world sabre defense platforms look great too.

That there is some nice scenery. I especially like the buried tank, it enhances the pretty blank building.

I copied over the wrong image from Photobucket!
Impressive. I salute your terrain making abilities.

Very well constructed... quite a few guns for a 'civillian' outpost though!

Great buildings. We played our (mine at least) first game on them last night, and with the other city ruins that we had already gotten back it was an awesome city fight table. They made pretty effective bunkers. I think we're going to have to start taking pictures of the battles we post reports on now.
And Jaffar, thats just a Heavy Bolter turret emplacement. Not a buried tank.

Very nice. I like it. Urban terrain always has a place in my heart. So much more gothic and has a dangerous feel to it.

Very nice, though I'd remove the tylenol bottle as it really, really looks like a tylenol bottle and seems kinda.. obvious.
