All plastic models, no more metal

ok im just wondering who here agrees with me that GW should make all thier models plastic? I mean metal is over expensive. 1 necron immortal costs 10 dollars without tax. Absurd...If they could sell all of them plastic, im pretty sure id finally buy some, and id be more happy.
Im just thinking if this is possible, maybe some models need to be metal. Metal has advantages and disadvantages. Metal doesent snap, and its heavier. But i think the disadvantages outweight the advantages. If painted it chips easily, the paint. It costs too much. Its impossible to glue, and when dropped every piece you glued breaks due to the weight. It also doesent look as neat as plastic, there always some extra stuff and it just doesent look that great.

    So just any thoughts?

I AGREE!!! i hate metal too, so stupid and heavy. Super glue stinks on metal, it works better on plastic. Plastic is so easy to work with. And can anyone explain why GW prices are so high? I should just buy my own molds and make my own models and sell them for cheap...naw lol im too lazy.

Working with metal models is like trying to shove a portly fellow through a button hole... or is that the Kindgom of Heaven?

    Eitherway, it's hard. BUT... BUT!

I think metal models should remain because, they have much more detail on them. And while i'm crap - you have to appreciate what some Golden Daemon entrants can so with them.

For the most part I'd say move it to plastic, especially big units and monsters, because those are the ones that can be most annoying.

a staff member I talked to about this said 'its easy to put the metal in blister pack, but plastic they have to take it off of the sprues'
Find The Exiles site here. Brought to you by spacemarine. Concept, Army list, etc. brought to you by Vlorlich.

    Personally, I disagree.
While GWs plastic kits do keep getting better and better (detail-wise, anyway), metal minis fulfill a vital roll. Not only are they better detailed (still), but there is something fundamentally nice about holding a painted metal mini in your hand. The weight is immensley satisfying.

Not only that, but metal is much better for creating individual minis. Plastic is undoubtably better for regiments/squads and larger monsters (considering posing, weight etc etc), but characters and other individual models (assassins, medium-sized monsters etc) look much better in metal, because the pose is 'set', so you won't have the strange joints that sometimes appear (ie: the arm joints on the plastic Rat Ogres).

All in all, I would like to see GW getting better at making intelligent plastic kits (the eldar aspect warriors could have been made using a variety of 'generic' sprues and aspect specific bits, for example) for more troops, but I do not think that they should stop making metal models full stop.

Some of GWs best and classic minis are the metal ones (I know many of my favorite minis are metal), and it would be a great shame for them to stop using metal completely.

    Anyway, thats what I think.
