Well my plan is to create my own chapter using the new Dark Angels models. The new models are gorgeous and its even better because they are all robed. The chapter im going to make is going to be an assault marine heavy army and i thought it would look really cool if the assault marines were robed. I just wanted to know what you guys think and do any of you know if it would be possible to put jetpacks on the new Dark Angels models?

well, i started a megabattleforce for dark angels, and bought a whoole lotta stuff from apocalypse for them, then all of a sudden got bored of them. i wanted a full 100 manned company that were all robed. it would have been awesome. for the jetpacks, i thought that you can save the running guys, and put jetpacks on them. and kind of carve out the bottom of the robe, where its a solid/flat block. i had it all planned out, then i went to tau. xenos scum
It is possible to put jetpacks on them as they are no different than ordinary marine torsos, save the robe.
How it will look is different matter...
I'm using my robed marines to create a small force of Guardians of the Covenant.

That's a cool idea, I'd totally do it, I love robed figures.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.

Why not just give them wings? They are unconventional for marines. A bunch of robed figures with wings and swords would look pretty awesome IMO
