Welcome to Librarium Online!
This is easy, not cheap please note. For easy mines merely use old watch batteries with bits from sprues on em. I said it's not cheap becuase you might not have them. So put here masively easy terrain tips (dont have to be cheap).
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD LOOK AT MY BLOG!
Rep people if they help you!!!
computer boxes and other styrafoam peices that hold things in place can often be made into buildings really easily, they already usually have the cool shape.
Also, the ball styrafoam can be symply pulled off with your fingers ad it looks like battle damage.
“You can live to be a hundred if you give up all the things that make you want to live to be a hundred.” ~ Woody Allen
I found if you take the little spurs that hold four bases together and glue them to some thin cardboard they can make some nice bouncing Betty mines.
If you do things right people wont be sure if you have done anything at all.
A friend of mine just gets a length of wire and wraps it around a stick. Takes all of 30 seconds and you have 6" or so of razorwire.
I had fun scavenging through my christmas decorations for instant terrain.
The right tools ... yup with the right tools you can build anything I strongly recomend a JIg saw and hot glue gun.
As far a easy scenery get a can of Great stuff and something to mount it on spray , wait and play.
Thought for the day: A Burning Heretic , Will brighten the Decor of any room.
I'm sure most of you do this already but the bits boxes I have are invaluable.
Across games (fantasy/40K/Mordhiem/et al) bits can be interchangable and even within the games.
I regularly used 40K & fantasy swaps to make some excellent conversions. I also saw someone use Skaven (WHF bits to enhance a Chaos SM (40K). Made it really stand out and well within a theme.
Great for adorning scenery or diorama.
So in summary, don't throw stuff out, keep it in clearly sorted boxes!

Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
Anyone else have any ideas for easily made mine fields? I am using whirlwinds and wanted to make my own templates that looked like minefields so people stop picking them up during games!
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I think Zabien was onto a good idea. Sprues and every other spare part you get in boxes can be made into mines/ruins. Even a collapsed building.
