Craftworld Ejol-nrobe is infamous for their frozen hearts and the equally icey trail left behind from the phantomic warriors. The Avataritself is actually slowly being taken over by the curse of the Craftworld. Only his heart burns eternally. See for yourself.
This IS only a work in progress, but I think I've done the hardest part so far (yes, the sword is as I got it from those narcoleptic stoners at Forgeworld).
Did David do good?
- Yes, the undercoat is black, sue me. I did pretty damn well for that, and it's not shoeing any signs of weakening.
- The flash did not brighten the pic at all, it is exactly as the colours are in sunlight.
- Everywhere in Shadow Grey right now (apart from the lower shins) will be in icey colours, the feet themselves will be covered in a layer of hoarfrost and the back foot will be fused to the ground by same.
- That is a Sarah Kerrigan model my mate made and wants me to paint next to him.

Post your army lists in the ARMY LIST section! Not that hard!
Well it certainly sounds like a great idea, and I'm sure it will lok great once finished, carry on I wanna see it properly to make a good comment right now theres little I can do except wait impatiently lol
That looks awesome!
A still faintly warm heart with the rest of his body frozen. Exactly how hypothermia works.
Thats exactly how a WIP frozen avatar should look.
Check out my Codex: Farmyard Animals here!
If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
hard to call, it is a fantastic idea, I suspect it will be difficult due to the lack of smooth, flat surfaces which lend them selves to Ice so well, but it is so WIP at the mo, cant be sure how it will turn out mate, persevere
Everything you have been told is a lie!
pretty fair start to a real tough model to paint. One big word or warning though, and it isn't too late... clean up your mold lines! There's a big one visible on the Avatar's left knee and appears to run straight up the thigh. If you're going to put this much work into it you should really get rid of the mold lines.
BTW: my avatar's missing his big dangley earring. The area's so clean I was wondering if they stopped using the earring bit, but seeing as you got yours right about the same time as I mine... I probably would have cut it off anyway. BUT FW should be able to send you a new forearm/sword... lazy gits.
One last bit. With the 'bloody hand'... you might want to do that last, as blood is slightly transparent, and should pick up some of the colour/detail from below. I use a combination of inks and paint to get a blood effect. Also, remember that blood is rarely bright red in large volumes, it tends to have a blue component.
good work, can't wait to see further developments.

It must be the contrast that makes it really stick out. I love it. I can't wait to see the completed job.

Sofar I really like the painting of the glow from the heart.
I don't know anything much about eldar gods but i'm assuming that eldar have hearts in the same place as we do? (I could very easily be wrong however.)
If this is the case the heart should be nearer to the middle (In my opinion)
As this diagram shows : http://www.thefeltsource.com/Human%2...k%20Page-2.jpg
I'm also working on my avatar. Yours is looking good but I painted the magma in the cracks first. I've done a bit of conversion on mine but its still very much in progress. Anyway, yours is looking good, will love to see it finished.
One question though.
What the HELL is that mutant-thing in teh background?
