OK, I've been a little conversion hungry lately and I've always wanted to make some sort of car/buggy vehicle for fun. I wanna base it from a space marine land speeder but I cant figure out how I would go about getting some wheels on and possibly just making it look like its a ground faring vehicle. Any ideas/tips on how I could go about getting some wheels on and building a nice looking chassis for my vehicle. I've looked around at a couple sites and seen a couple ideas but none of the sites give any advice on the parts that they used. I just don't want it too look too chunky. Agile and fast is what I like. I've got an image of the Warthog from Halo but I doubt with the land speeder model I'd b able to mount some sort of gun on the back of it. Ideas on gun placement would be great as well, but it's mainly the wheels and suspension I need help with.
if you want a nice clean conversion I recommend purchasing a german Studka, the front wheel wells fit perfectly onto the landspeeder and you can use parts of the rear to make your suspension, but I did find it looked better to use the GW tires
mine is sorta trashed from being stored wrong but you can see I tried
EDIT: oops maybe should have dusted her off before grabbing some pics
They're ladies. We can't hit ladies.
No, no. They're Daemonettes. They'll tear you limb from limb and steal your soul
But sar, thats what ladies do.
Its a pretty simple conversion especially when on a deadline, but if working to achieve perfection then you might want to put more of your soul into it.
