Modding a Demolisher with Tau plasma

Here are some photos of a Leman Russ Demolisher that I put Tau plasma guns on in place of plasma cannons ( since I wanted to find a clever way of not buying two more from GW ). The fluff behind the idea is that the captain of my company decided during the Damocles Gulf Crusade that he could replace destroyed plasma cannons by using plasma weapons off of fallen Tau Crisis Suits. What do you think?
Sorry if I posted links wrong, I've never posted in this section before >.<
Also, what do you think of the paint job on the tank itself?

I believe this goes in the Conversion forum. =) Moved.

Also... while the idea is interesting, and the conversion looks nice and clean, fluffwise, the Plasma Rifles of the Tau shouldn't work with the tank.. the Guard wouldn't understand the technology to begin with, much less make it compatible with the rest of the vehicle.

Nice and crisp conversion work, though. =)

Fair enough. I had no idea which it really belonged in anyway *laughs* After taking an Art History class, I've got all these art terms floating around my head in a blob.
A,s for the fluff, (while it probably belongs in the Fluff forum *laughs again*), I'd like to give the Guard scientists more credit than they probably deserve.
I'll post in the fluff forum, in any event ;-)

the tau technology is maybe hightech but almost every race can use the weapons.
There is a book Rouge Star where the Imperial forces are given Tau weapons (railgun, plasma, special engines, etc) in exchange for joining the Greater Good.
So it could be possible to use them on an imperial guar vehicle.

Imho using the Tau railrifles would look much much better than those o.0
