Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hi guys i was wondering if any body has made any necron scenery at, if not how would you go about making it???
Have you checked the GW site?
I'm sure he has, I have and there's really not much there. As a Necron player I feel left out from GW. also in all the large scale campaigns, not including Medusa V, the necrons have been left out. if we could get some more fluff handrails from GW the larger the chance of possibly better terrain Ideas.
Anyway do you have DoW Dark Crusade? If you do you may get some great Ideas to making the terrain pieces.

Think Techno-Egypt - that is possibly the best word I can use to desribe how I would see such table... Also paintings by Geiger seem to be in the right mood... Let me know when you finish the table - it should make me consider doing a Necron force maybe
Hmmm, this might be a difficult one.
I would say that making matching scenery is something that is up to your personal tastes.
I'm sorry if this sounds very selfish, but that is how I make everything myself.
I would say it is largely up to how you have the impression of your own Necrons. By this I mean YOUR necrons.
On a large basis the Necrons are considered to be dormant on secluded dead planets, but it really doesn't have to be like this.
The idea of a techno Egypt theme is great, but at the same time I feel that is what we all see as a standard necron terrain.
Since I have been out of the game for a year now I'm not even sure if the Necrons have got a new codex, but if you have a look in the hobby section of the first edition you might get some impression on how the models have been painted and the general region they were thought to inhabitate.
Personally I feel that the Necrons have that Japanese anime giant robot theme to them, why not have look at some of those movies and see if the landscapes used there might give a good impression?

I WAS IN THE IMPERIAL (Norwegian) GUARD!
Believe it or not a lot of the Gou'ld (sp?) buildings and style from stargate is rather "necrony" so that can help if you want to try and move away from the cyber egyptian feel.
However as far as it goes, anything Egyptian is a really good start.
As far as making it necrons seem to have 2 factors in it-
1) Perfection, because of their mastering of technology time means nothing, so even after countless years their buildings are still perfect, unaffected by weathering.
This would be lots of straight edges and a very clean look overall, although it looking like it could do with a good clean couldn't hurt.
2) Robustness yet not invincability. Essentially the same as 1 except with weathering,, bit missing, parts being eroded and a general state of disrepair.
I prefer 1 myself, but 2 can look superior if done well.
