Tank Conversions, Post your own or talk about others!

This is a new thread for treadheads like me and you out there who all need to post and get opinions on our tanks.
Ill start us off here guys.
    tell me what you think,

    Armoured fist Chimera

    Missle Basilisk

    Demolisher

    Executioner

    Hydra Flak Tank

    Salamander scout vechicle

    Leman Russ

    Veteran's Chimera

    Griffon ( still painting)

Chimera (morized, still tinkering w/ controls)

Some of my troops as well

    Armoured fist squad

    Veteran squad

    Command squad

Tell me what you think guys

    In the night,
    many stood,
    armed with lasguns,
and the light of the emporer,
    they stood tall,
    proud,
    in the twilight,
    fighting continues,
    the galaxy burns,
    a cunning tribute,
    to the god of man,
    all hail the Emperer!

Wow, some of those conversions are awesome. I especially like the missle basilisk. The pics are kind of poor though and I can't see much detail.

I'll post my hell hound made from a chimera soon. I'm still working out how I'm making the turret though.

wow someones a true treadhead, great vehicles. I like tanks too but I haven't made any real conversions yet. maybe ill get back to this one day.

Also pictures with digi cameras can be taken from a distance and cropped later, standing back wont make them go out of focus and most cameras are powerful enough to crop and zoom. hope that helps.

It is a nice display of skill, some of the conversions are interesting indeed. Pictures are not the greatest, so a lot of details is probably lost... Painting could be more careful and detailed and it would help the models a lot, but this is not a painting forum so I will not comment on that aspect.

As far as conversions: I like most of them. Especially the Veteran's Chimera. Looks like some sort of a remote-operated tank... Another nice one is the Russ based on Chimera body - interesting concept. I do not particularly like the Missile Basilisk - seems to be too "US Army" and not IG-like... Another problem that I see is that you have three Russes, and none of them look alike…

The thing with conversions is that you change to model to make it look as you see fit, as you have it set up in your head. Not everyone will have the same taste and like the same conversions... If building IG models for IG army, I would prefer to keep them simple, utilitarian in nature. I am doing a lot of bitz on my WH armor - only because in my opinion those are supposed to be ornate and emanating with the aura of power...

So in summary – nice, as long as you are happy with them!

    Some nice tanks guys,
Here's my Exorcist converted from an Immolater kit. I made it wider and lower to the ground. Scratch built the rocket launcher and Engine for the back.

Those are some interesting tanks. I really like that Missile basilisk. The radar and all really makes it look unique. I assume it works like a normal Basilisk it just looks different.
