A friend of mine bought a box of "wargame figures" yesterday, 70 of these guys and a swarm of tiny old-style land raiders and rhinos for a steal at $15 for the entire box. I'd like to paint these but I don't know what they are or how to paint them, I've never seen models like this. They are GW models circa 1992, and look kind of like necrons. I dunno about the short stubby guy with the gun arms though.
Another question is painted up and presentable, would these models be worth anything, maybe more than regular models? They have all been primed (extremely poorly) with a very thin layer of green primer.
Sorry about the crappy lighting and detial, I did the best I could with my pitiful excuse for a camera.
Those are Imperial Knights from the Epic range of miniatures.
I don't think GW still make them, but you can find the current Epic minis here:
They were basically mini-titans, kinda like Imperial versions of Ork Stompas.

minus-t is quite right, they brought them out when they released the Titan Legions expansion for the old Epic system back in the mid-90s
Gives you the perfect excuse to start playing Epic! the old game was great, and ive heard nothing but good stuff about the more recent rules which you can download for free on the link given in the previous post.

The small robot-dudes are Chaos Androids. Great for Necron-conversions for Epic. It sounds like you have gotten yourself a large Epic Chaos army. Nice!
Nice indeed! I don't plan on getting started in epic at least until I can quit proxying units and get my current army painted up and running. When I first saw these I thought they were either old necrons or some kind of combat servitors that I'd never seen.
The first ideas I had was to make some obliterator conversions, cause at $25 a model that's a little steep for me.
Thanks for the input guys, I never would have been able to figure this out.
just wondering but where can you download the rules
sorry double post
