Psycannons are one of the most popular weapons to give inquisitors and yet there doesn't seem to be a pre-packaged deal for them... so how do you get your inquisitor to wield a psycannon? the only solutions i've seen are like the one you see on the GW page with the inquisitor simply getting a spackle of green stuffs on his bolt pistol and turning it into a psycannon... i mean i geuss it works, but it doesn't look superb, and that's with professional application (certainly not a pro myself).
so what are some options? i do have an extra terminator psycannon arm that i accidentally ordered too many of...
I have been trying to get a picture of mine posted but haven't been able to use the gallery since the domain change.
I use the inquisitor with the bolter and the book. I cut the bolter off on the hilt and replaced it with two spliced together grenade launchers. One is cut so that it is just the chamber that holds the grenades, and the other is cut to include that chamber and the barrel. Both are glued together and then I used greenstuff to stick it onto the bolter hilt (just because it is stronger than glue). It looks similar to the GKT psycannon, in that both are large cylander barrels on blocky mounts. I will get the picture up as soon as I can start posting to the gallery again.
Here are a couple of pics that I took of my Inquisitor. I always use him just as a stock elite =][= and put him with a 6 man Grey Knight squad.
You can order the bit from a GW store or online, and it is worth the wait. I just dug a bit out of the stock =][=rs should and attached it like a "Predator"

My plan is to use the Redemptionist leader from Necromunda. I'll convert him so that one hand is pointing a finger and the other is holding a book. He'll be on a rock on a large base with a servo-skull/psycannon hovering next to him.
I had a buddy of mine convert an Inquisitor with a psycannon for me. I will try to geta picture up.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
I think I can get some pics up now...so here goes my first attempt.
and my second
and my third
Those are my three best pictures, I hope they turn out and I hope they inspire you to do something new that I can copy...I am going to need atleast another inquisitor, but in carapace armor instead of power armor. If you come up with something let me know.
INQ, I'm going to move this to the Conversion Forum, where you might get (hopefully) some good replies, and where this topic is more relevant. Any probs, PM Me.
I think that the best way to model a psycannon on a =][= is to do the Predator shoulder mounted unit (very much like on the pictures above). Another idea is the servoskull - this way you can not glue it in and remove/add it according to your gear choice (more versatile). But I personally like the shoulder mounted unit more!
I like all the above conversion idea. I was going to stick with the suped up bolter idea. The bolt pistol idea is the only one i kinda cringe at as a Psycannon is a 2 hand weapon. The one bit i came across I really like was old school 2nd edition Imperial guard plasma cannons. They have lots of electronic bitz and its pretty bulkie as one would think a plasma cannon would be.
Now figuring its meant for shoulder mount i'd fix it on a servitor that can fit on the base, or on a floating skull as the idea above.
