King Ulrik Flamebeard
Sir Theobold the Lame
The Paint Monkey
my vote is going to be zentradi. IT is an absolute stuning model and is beatifully painted.
Leech your was amazing as well but i had to pick one.
Some great paint jobs in this comp.
Just goes to show there are some great minis out there, you dont need to convert everything!
All great entries, mine excluded , but there are a couple i really really like and was torn between...ive already been extremely complimentry to Kuffys Dwarf treasure hunter- its a mini i absolutely love and its a top notch paint job as always. Leech's Nurgle guy is a supremem paint job, really sweet, and Zentradi and titans entries show that outside of GW there are some great figures to be had.
So good job everyone! a pleasure looking at your work, but my vote went to titan136- its just a cool model painted and based simply but really effectively...great going.
PLAN CLAN MAN!!
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man- S. Johnson
titan136 gets my vote.
I find something strangely haunting about Andusciassus's entry, I can't get that image of a lone guardsman with a gas mask out of my head. My vote, naturally, goes to him
This was a really tough one for me.
Kuffy's is probably my favorite mini, it has huge lumps of character dripping off it, and really sums up dwarfishness to me; followed in a close second by Andusciasscus' hard bitten, brutally realist Death Korp. Trooper. Both fantastic models.
However, as this is a painting competition, I decided to be cold and calculating about it.
The top three are, undoubtably, Leech, titan136 and Zentradi, and they are all seriously well painted.
The more I looked at titan's, I found the blues almost clashing with the skintones, which I find quite distracting. The blood is also a bit off, so this made me decide to put him in 3rd (in my own private world, anyway).
So, Leech and Zentradi. Both are very good. In the end, I decided on Zentradi, because of the beautifully subtle freehand, and the blending is, frankly, almost perfect. Breathtaking buddy, you'll be getting Golden Daemons soon enough.
Leech, again, very very fine painting, but somehow it just didn't pop for me. The scheme is lovely, but somehow it seems a little plain in comparison to Zen's mini.
Amazing turn out guys, it's really wonderful to see so many entries, and of such (generally) good quality.
Kinda glad I didn't enter now though...
minus_t's painting log! Now with: More Wolves and Blue Robots!

Leech for me. Maybe a little to clean for nurgle, but still my fav.
I was really torn between a lot of great stuff... But Leech took it. That there is a truely inspiring piece of work.
Looks like a landslide victory to Leech. I voted for him too.
Dodge's night lord looks great too. It's just not the best painted.
